2 paths I have chosen;
1) Interior Design
2) Product Design.
I’ll use this blog series for the second type. If you remember I mentioned before I have researched for a good machine I can buy for my products design. IT HAS ARRIVED 🙂 , so exciting yet frightening cause now it’s real, no way to escape.
So, what do I mean by product design? what kind of machine am I talking about? Well, it’s an engraving machine. It’s a professional engraving machine that can engrave on glass, wood, plastic, metal, and even jeans. The jeans will have more of an etching or laser design. The engraving is precise and deep and the design will cover the entire product.
I’m learning about the machine’s software and finalize the main designs I wanted to use. I will select five products to serve as the foundation for my core product line. With the machine, the company provided a few products to experiment with. You can play with them to make sure you practice your skills before working on the real thing. Very soon, I’ll need to start experimenting. I need to see how well my designs sit on the product. I will check the depth of the design and the size, etc.
For my interior design home dĂ©cor, I want to focus on items that add the right mood. They should bring style and sophistication to your room/ wall. Till now, many people buy new dĂ©cor quickly and replace the old. We can find cheap decor that we don’t mind throwing away, but I think that’s changing. I believe people want to have unique and special items. These will make their decor/ design one of a kind. They won’t go to a friend’s house and see the same dĂ©cor. We all want to be unique. I believe there should always be one piece in a room that will give the wow factor and showcase the character and uniqueness of the room/ home and you.
I know for sure one of the 5 products will be pens. For the rest… I have so many ideas. I’ll need to make a decision very soon. By the end of summer, I need to finalize my product line. Can I do it?
