Starting New; Chapter 1- One Step At a Time.

Taking chances, I don’t know why but just saying it out load makes me worry. How do I put aside all my old fears, insecurity, doubts and just follow my passion, my dream?

When I think big and dare to image what could be I start to panic and find all the reasons/ excuses why it will never work and the idea just slowly fade away. that’s been my life till now.

I decided that if I really want to give it a try, for real, I have to change the way I look at it. I’ve been a project manager for over a decade… by now… it’s in my blood, so I decided to treat my dream as a project and break everything in to small pieces/ steps. First, take a few week to clean your head, relax then move to the next step, start researching the ideas I have. Third, make decisions- what am I going to focus on -> then learn the process. Research the material needed and where you can get it from.

For me, this method keeps me calm, centered. I don’t get overwhelmed and start panicking. so if this is something that can work for you, try it… because there are so many of us creative, smart with amazing ideas that we keep in the drawer hoping that one day we’ll be courageous enough to try. Break it down into small pieces and work it out step by step.

I decided to go in to the engraving area, channel my creativity and ideas in creating unique decorative items that can be personalized as well. With the help of my shining armor we researched the engraving field to better understand the types of engraving there are and what do I want to use. We researched the machines offered in this field and decided on the one suit my needs the best.

Its exciting yet frightening as H…

While waiting for the machine to arrive so I can finally try it out and experiment I’m working on my designs. I must say, its so much fun when you do what you love.

There is so much to do. I need to find a manufacture to work with, calculate products cost and margin and create a forecast for my business. I need to research and decide where I will publish /market and sell my products…. ohhhh I’m getting a head of myself.. don’t want to panic :-).
